In the heart of Hull, a quiet revolution in the vehicle wrapping and vinyl application industry is gaining momentum. At the forefront is Chris Edwards—an industry veteran with over two decades of experience—whose vision is transforming how professionals learn, grow, and thrive in this rapidly evolving sector.

As Director of both CVI Group and CVP Limited, Chris brings a sharp eye for business development and strategic foresight. His leadership has been central to the success of CVI Group, a company known for delivering high-quality vinyl installations on vehicles, walls, windows, and architectural surfaces across the UK. Now, through the training centre—a new but promising venture—he’s expanding his impact through education and innovation.

A Career Built on Passion and Purpose

Chris's professional journey began in 2004 when he left school and dove headfirst into the world of vinyl graphics. Armed with ambition and an entrepreneurial spirit, he steadily built his reputation as a specialist in vehicle wrapping. Today, he’s not only a respected practitioner but also a passionate educator and thought leader in the industry.

From on-site product demonstrations to guiding research and development of new techniques, Chris’s focus has always been on elevating industry standards. His drive to share knowledge has culminated in the opening of a dedicated training centre in Hull—a space designed to educate and inspire the next generation of vinyl professionals.

A Hub for Training and Transformation

The newly launched CVI Training Centre is a milestone achievement for Chris and his team. Designed to cater to learners at every level—from beginners to seasoned experts—the facility aims to fill a long-standing gap in industry-specific education.

“There’s a growing demand for skilled installers in the print, signage, and wrapping sectors,” Chris explains. “Yet, opportunities for hands-on, structured training remain limited. Our centre exists to bridge that gap and empower people with the tools and knowledge to succeed.”

Although the facility is still in development, initial training sessions have already been met with strong enthusiasm, laying the groundwork for a vibrant learning hub in the region.
